The Dice Cubes

The Dice Cubes
The Dice Cubes

The Dice Cubes hail from Edmonton, AB. They play original, 50’s inspired rock and roll. Their influences range from Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Gene Vincent, to the Stray Cats, Chris Isaak and Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys. They are quickly creating a buzz in Alberta as energetic and highly accomplished performers, and have shared the stage with the likes of The Reverend Horton Heat, Peter & the Wolves and the Confusionaires to name a few.
They recorded their independently produced sophomore album, “Got Lucky,” live off the floor with Edmonton’s venerable Gavin Dunn (The Hearts, Super 92’s). The album was then taken to another level and mastered by Doug Organ at Edmontone Studio.
“Got Lucky”, features a range of 50’s flavoured rock and roll. From the hard-edged opening track, “Calling All Cars,” to the bouncy, “Hula Girl,”; the jungle rhythms of “Apeman,” or the straight-ahead rockabilly sounds of “Rumble Strip” and “Long and Lanky,” this album is a culmination of the last 2 years of polishing their sound and has something for everyone.
The Dice Cubes will be releasing “Got Lucky” to the public at their CD release party in Edmonton on July 6, 2018 at The Aviary in Edmonton. The show will also feature special guests, Kayla & Matt Hotte and Sam Spades.
